Communal Spaces and High-Traffic Areas

Between 2024 and 2026, Westchurch Homes appointed Floor-D to deliver flooring packages across multiple new build housing and apartment schemes in Bolton, Openshaw and surrounding areas of Manchester. With project values ranging from £90k to £275k and covering approximately 800 properties, the scale required careful coordination and reliable delivery.

The Brief

Each development included a mix of private and social housing, meaning every home needed new flooring that was both affordable and built for long-term durability. The challenge was to supply and install flooring that would match a variety of property styles, suit different room types and maintain high standards across all 800 homes, all within agreed time frames.

Supplying Vinyl Flooring and Carpets for 800 Homes

Working directly with Westchurch Homes, we delivered a complete flooring solution including subfloor preparation, underlay, and the installation of vinyl flooring and carpets. Across the various schemes, we installed vinyl flooring using high-quality sheet rolls and selected tile finishes where specified. We also fitted soft carpets over carefully selected underlay layers to enhance comfort. 

Multiple layers of underlay were installed where required to provide additional insulation and long-term durability, helping homeowners save on maintenance over the years. The chosen vinyl flooring solutions were low maintenance, pet friendly and durable, making them a great option for both private and social housing. 

By managing supply and installation across multiple sites at once, we ensured quick, efficient progress without compromising on quality. Whether buyers were starting their journey, buying their first home, or moving into a new apartment – every property received flooring designed to offer long-term value at the right price point.
